Jewel of Karnataka (6Days/5nights) (Bengaluru/Mysore/Croog/Kabini)
Day 1 :- Mysore: Drive to Mysore from Bangalore (145 kms / 3 hrs approx), Enroute, visiting Srirangapatnam, an island fortress-city of great religious, cultural and historic importance. It was Tipu Sultan’s capital. Arrive Mysore and check in to your hotel. Later, proceed for a half-day tour of Mysore. Visit Mysore Palace… it is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world. Next, visit Chamundi Hill. Half-way up to the top is Nandi, Lord Shiva’s Bull- a majestic monolith. Overnight in Mysore..
Day 2 :- Coorg: Drive to Coorg (121 kms / 2.5 hrs approx), enroute visiting Bylakuppe, a settlement for refugees from Tibet. Hundreds of Buddhist monks live here and there are richly painted and intricately decorated Tibetan Temples to be seen here. Arrive Coorg and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Coorg.
Day 3 :- Coorg: Proceed for a full day tour of Coorg. Visit to Raja’s Seat, a small pavilion with a garden surrounding it, offering a view of the spectacular Blue Mountains around. Later, visit the Dubare Elephant Camp, where elephants are trained. A naturalist is at hand to explain the various aspects of Elephant history, ecology and biology. Overnight in Coorg.
Day 4 :- Kabini: Drive to Kabini (110 kms / 2.5 hrs approx). Arrive Kabini and check in to your hotel. Kabini is one of the most popular wildlife destinations of Karnataka, probably because of its easy accessibility, lush green landscape, surrounding a large picturesque lake, and fantastic sightings of large herds of elephants. Situated on the banks of the River Kabini, this forest reserve is spread over 55 acres of forestland, steep valleys and water bodies. Optional In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari in the wildlife sanctuary. The forest reserve houses the single largest congregation of Asiatic elephants. Besides the elephant, you are likely to spot langurs, chitals, sambar, bison, sloth bear, pythons, and crocodile… if you are lucky, the tiger and leopard. Overnight in Kabini.
Day 5 :- Kabini: Optional AM & PM Jungle Safari. Overnight in Kabini.
Day 6 :- Onwards: Proceed to Bangalore airport (225 kms / 4.5 hrs approx) to board the flight for your onward destination.
